Set canvas size for templates

The PFTemplateBoundary tag can be used to specify a canvas/print area (independent of the page format created in InDesign) within an InDesign document.

If the InDesign template uploaded in printformer contains a block tagged as PFTemplateBoundary , it will be reduced to the size of this boundary in the editor/print PDF. (All elements outside the block are ignored in the printformer editor and the page format is trimmed accordingly).

Other features:

  • any coordinates are set relative to the PFTemplateBoundary

  • the background PDF is also cropped to the size and position of the PFTemplateBoundary block

  • if there are multiple blocks tagged as PFTemplateBoundary in the InDesign document, only the first block will be used and the rest will be discarded.
